Unlike those toxic chemical products you find on the store shelves, here are a few effective natural bug repellent recipes using essential oils that you can make at home. And unlike those commercial brands, these will not cause brain damage!
Note: As always, if you want the best results, please love yourself enough to use only oils from Young Living, rather than other inferior brands brands of oils that are adulterated or cut with chemcials.
Essential Repellent
- 6 drops of peppermint oil
- 6 drops of melaleuca alternifolia oil
- 9 drops of citronella OR Purification oil
- Dilute with water 20:80
- Apply to exposed skin
Avoid contact with eye area.
Mosquito Repellent #1
- 6 drops lemon oil
- 6 drops peppermint oil
- 6 drops eucalyptus radiata oil
- 6 drops lemongrass oil
- Dilute with water 20:80
- Apply to exposed skin
Avoid contact with eye area. Because Lemon oil is photo sensitive, do not apply to skin that will be exposed to sunlight.
Mosquito Repellent #2
- 6 drops peppermint oil
- 6 drops melaleuca alternifolia
- 6 drops eucalyptus radiata oil
- Dilute with water 20:80
- spray on to exposed skin
Avoid contact with eye area.
Mosquito Repellent #3
- 10 drops Young Living Purification oil blend
- 1 ounce distilled water
- mix in spray bottle and spray on body
Avoid contact with eye area.
