Recovering from Ligament Surgery
Irene Hess-Oates tells the story of her son’s recovery from cruciate ligament surgery after being accidently kicked during a soccer game.
For two nights prior to surgery she gave him 6 drops of Helichrysum to keep his blood at the right consistency during the operation and to prevent clots or excess bleeding.
Other oils she considered using in place of Helichrysum: Cistus, Lemongrass for ligaments or Juniper.
Here is the protocol Irene used with her son:
Lemongrass 6 drops, Frankincense 6 drops, Cistus 2 drops and Helichrysum 2 drops (ingested in a 00 vege cap) first thing in the morning with 70 ml of NingXia Red.
Lavender applied to the wound 3 times daily
Light diet with lots of fresh pineapple and other fresh fruits, very little carbs, good protein, legumes and organic vegetables.
Note: If you’ve not ingested oils before, begin with a single drop the first day in a capsule, and increase by one drop per day until you reach the desired amount. Because essential oils are amazingly powerful at detoxifying the body, it is best to work up gently.
