An Interview with Karen Hanna
How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a lifestyle enhancement specialist?
When I was 19 years old, I remember ‘waking up’ to the idea that I could consciously create my own life. I tend to be a bit of a free thinker and unconventional in the way that I live. And it seems that the times in my life when I have felt the most fulfilled have been when I am creating a purposeful lifestyle and work style and helping others do the same.
Who are your clients?
I love to support like minded entrepreneurial women and small business owners who share similar dreams that I have, of planetary change and healing. Most of the people I work with are wellness professionals, involved in some sort of natural healing or energy work. Most have home based businesses, but some work in clinics or spas with professionals.
I like to work with people who want to change the way that the world thinks about health care.
How are you different from other business coaches?
I am a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist and Raynor Massage Therapist and Strategic Interventionist. I’ve had training in many energy healing modalities since 1988.
I have studied business and marketing since buying my first business when I was 25 years old. And I have been actively and passionately promoting Young Living’s 400 essential oil and oil related products for over 10 years.
So how exactly did you get started working with healing professionals and entrepreneurs?
Great question! In about 1994, one of my clients invited me to come out and listen to an aromatherapy presentation given by aromacologist Dr. Gary Young. He had just returned from a research trip to the pyramids and temples in Egypt and was sharing what he had learned about healing with essential oils in ancient times.
From that moment on, I was hooked on learning all I could about the power of essential oils to change lives. And by joining Young Living Essential Oils as an independent distributor I immediately began to create financial leverage through their lucrative compensation plan. I now have an international business responsible and I work with distributors in several countries.
Do you have any formal education or has this all been learn as you go?
I have formal training with four of the top aromatherapy industry leaders in North America. My first mentor of course was Gary Young. But in addition, I have studied with Linda Smith, Dr. Sabina DeVita and Dr. David Stewart. I have been involved in marketing on the internet since 1998 and continue to learn from some of the best teachers around.
What services does Aroma Coach offer?

What results can I typically expect?
Well if you want to improve your health that’s one area where you will likely see things shift and change fast. With Young Living’s nutrient infused essential oil products you will have more energy and focus. Your life will begin to change at a cellular level and your friends and family just might comment that you are looking more youthful as well!
As for your financial life, you have several choices here. You might want to just earn extra cash, like $200-500 per month. The people I work best with are serious about earning an extra $1000-$2500 or more per month.
What is expected of me as a client?
If you are tired of struggling to make ends meet and are ready to step up and play a bigger game I can help you. But you must be able to follow directions and listen to my advice and commit to take consistent action.
What type of person will NOT be a good fit for you?
Please note that I am very selective in who I work with and I hand pick my coaching clients. I actually turn away people that I feel are not a good match and won’t get the long term benefits. If you are not willing to invest time and money in yourself, to follow your dreams, my program is not for you.
