This year Young Living is hosting a half marathon in addition to the popular 5K race.

Other special events include live entertainment and a variety of activities such as wagon rides, paddle boating, craft making, lavender picking, and much more.

In earlier times, the home was sacred because the goddess lived at the very center of the family dwelling. The goddess was the hearth fire. She warmed the mind and the heart of each family member.

Here are some of the names by which the goddess of the hearth was invoked:

  • Greeks – Hestia
  • Romans – Vesta
  • Celts – Brigit

The goddess Hestia reminds us of the sacredness of everyday life. Here are a few tips to consider in times of stress and pressure:

  • take time to cook and eat nutritious food
  • exercise regularly
  • take quiet time for your soul
  • nourish yourself with the companionship of friends and loved ones
